Architecture Omi is offering 120 acres of land at its international facilities in Ghent, New York, for use by arts groups and organizations, museums, collectors, galleries, and entrepreneurial creators to explore the many intersecting relationships between architects and artists. The spectrum of concepts goes from a structure as a work of art itself, to the design of structures meant to contain works of art and new art forms. How are the margins blurring, conjoining, arguing and becoming realized in the 21st century context. The Program has defined four classifications for submission consideration: 1-Pavilions, 2- Private Collection Museum, 3- Transit Sculpture, 4- Earthworks. All projects shall be entirely funded by a reputable arts organization, the artists’ personal funding, corporate or collector sponsorship sources, or other means of support.
This open call represents a NEW creative and collaborative art space opportunity to encourage innovation and experimentation among international artists, designers and art students by challenging their talent and skills into an unexplored form of expression that will fresh thinking and broad activities, to look ahead. Visit our Web site for more details.
