“Anatomy in the Gallery,” a rotating exhibition program at the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago, showcases medically inspired contemporary art within the unique context of the Museum.
“Anatomy in the Gallery” will be accepting proposals from artists and curators for its 2011 exhibition calendar until April 16, 2010. The medical and bodily theme is open to interpretation, but figure studies without any additional medical content do not qualify.

Albuquerque Public Art Program in partnership with New Mexico Arts, Art in Public Places announces a national 1% for art project RFQ
PROJECT INTENT/THEME: The Balloon Museum Art Selection Committee with New Mexico Arts, Art in Public Places program seeks a permanent artwork situated within the yet to be developed overall site plan for the outdoor area connecting the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon
Museum and the Balloon Fiesta Field. The final artwork will serve as an access point into the Balloon Museum, Balloon Fiesta Park and into Land Arts, an unprecedented genre in the City of Albuquerque Public Art Collection.
Eligibility: This project is open to artist/artist teams residing in the United States. Notice: If an Artist is selected for a Public Art project, whether as an individual or as a member of a team, and a contract for the project has been executed by the parties, the Artist is not eligible to apply, separately or jointly, for another Albuquerque Public Art project for a period of one year from the date of final execution of the contract.
PROJECT FUNDS: $128,000 is available to commission a constructed and installed work of art for the Balloon Land Arts Project. The source of funds for this project is Albuquerque - 1% for Art – Storm G.O Bond Fund ($80,000) and State of New Mexico Art, Art in Public Places funds ($48,000).

The Sharadin Art Gallery at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania requests proposals from artists, craftspersons, and designers for the production of an original, temporary, site-specific installation for our exhibition space.
The artwork will remain on view from January 28 – March 4, 2011. The selected artist (or artist team) will be awarded $10,000. The award must cover all material and labor costs associated with the production of the work, all travel expense to and from our site, all incidental costs, meals, and all artist fees and honoraria. The university will provide housing one block from the gallery (Main Street Inn) for one artist -- all remaining housing costs for additional artists and/or support personnel must be covered from the $10,000 award. A group of Kutztown University students will be available to assist with the physical production of the selected proposal.
